I’ve been to Lambeau too many times to count. Here are 3 things that will help make your Game Day experience great.
1. Leave early/Arrive early – Unless you live in Green Bay or the Fox Valley, depart early for the game. Do this, not just to avoid traffic hassles. Do it so you can really enjoy the pregame atmosphere, hit the pro shop and get something to eat. (A classic “butter burger” at Kroll’s West is must!)
2. Check out the Tailgate Scene – Even if you are not meeting up with a group at Lambeau, a trip around the parking lot will reveal a cast of funny characters and possibly provide new networking opportunities. Packers fans are a friendly bunch. One minute you are walking by, the next you’re enjoying a brat, beer and meeting some fans that you might hang out with for years to come.
3. Plan a post game event – Win or lose it’s great to have a plan for after the game. Either you tailgate more to let the traffic disappear or you designate a stop en route home. Post-game meals on returning rides to the Milwaukee area have included Buffalo Wild Wings in Green Bay, Serious Burger in Appleton and The Mineshaft in Hartford.
Be safe, enjoy and Go Pack!
